Park Shark Amsterdam. The smart way to Park Park Shark to find s the cheapest parking place where you want to Park. Using Park Shark to plan your visit to Amsterdam will save you money and time. All you have to do is: 1) Choose a location where you want to park 2) Select a date and time when you want to start 3) Indicate how long you will park for 4) Choose a payment method Automatically Park Shark shows you three options: First is the closest parking meter to your desired location and shows you how much it will cost for your selected date, time and duration. Second will be a less expensive alternative within reasonable walking distance and the Third option will be the absolute cheapest parking available during your stay in Amsterdam. When you select one of the options Park Shark displays an interactive map that shows you the exact location of the parking meter as well as other parking meters in the area. For more details touch the parking meter icon and it shows the exact cost, address and how far away that parking meter is from your desired location. Touch the blue arrow for even more details and you will see: - Full address and post code - The specific parking meter number - The price per hour - If there is a maximum stay - Exactly what days of the week and what time you have to pay - All the different payment options available for that meter: cash, pin, chipknip or credit card If you want to see more options just touch the back button and the map displays again showing all your options. You might notice a little banner for Park and Ride at the bottom of the map. This is always a great parking option if you are visiting the city from outside Amsterdam for more than just a couple of hours. Touch the banner and a detailed map of all the Park and Ride locations appears. Park Shark is not a payment system- it is a free service created by Glimworm IT BV in co-operation with the City of Amsterdam to help people plan their parking in advance and make parking in Amsterdam less confusing for tourists and residents alike. If you need to park your car in Amsterdam, use Park Shark to make your visit more pleasant and save money at the same time.
